Employment compensation estimate

How the estimate works

The basic award uses complete years of service and age during each year, with weekly pay capped at £751 and service capped at 20 years. Eligibility and reductions must be checked separately.

Financial loss is the past, future and other losses you enter. Nothing is added for assumed unemployment, case strength or a settlement discount. For ordinary unfair dismissal from 6 April to 31 December 2026, it applies the lower of gross annual pay and £123,543. Discrimination losses are not subject to that cap. This simple calculator does not cover every uncapped dismissal category.

An optional ACAS uplift scenario applies to financial loss and injury to feelings, not the basic award. A tribunal decides whether an uplift applies and how much. Future changes to the law are not modelled here.
